on February 25

Fundraising will help build homes and hope for families in need

Morris Habitat for Humanity announces the 18th Annual Hearts & Hammers Gala on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 6:00 PM at the Meadow Wood in Randolph. The gala will celebrate Morris Habitat families and loyal supporters while raising funds for the organization’s 66 affordable homes currently under construction in Morris and Middlesex Counties, as well as the Greater Plainfield area.

“For decades, Morris Habitat for Humanity has provided hope to families seeking an affordable place to live in the greater Morris County area,” said Morris Habitat CEO Blair Schleicher Wilson.

“Our mission is driven forward each year by people of all ages and backgrounds who come together to support the building, repair and housing solutions work of Morris Habitat. We are excited to come together in person after two years to celebrate our honors and raise critical funding for our home building projects.”

The evening’s spotlight will be on the Hearts & Hammers Gala Honoree presentations. Gala honors for 2023 include: Staatssen. Anthony M. Bucco with the Leadership Award; Arleen Paladino, Crum & Forster Chief Financial Officer, with the Professional Partner Award; Jasmine Lim, community partner, with the Donald H. Kuhn Inspiration Award; Margaret A. Darrin Charitable Trust with the Stewardship Award; and Toni Yates, ABC Eyewitness News Reporter, with the Key Communicator Award.

The event will feature a lavish cocktail reception where guests can preview the silent and live auctions, including sports memorabilia, jewelry, sporting events, dining and experiences, a wine pull and music by the New Jersey Youth Orchestra.

Guests will hear about family journeys to home ownership and the impact that a safe and decent affordable place to live has on their lives. Tickets must be purchased in advance for $250 per person.
