Warrnambool Horse Racing Tips & Form
—
Race 1. (14:30) May Racing Carnival Maiden (1100m)
#6 – Sevillana @ $4.20 – Bet @ Picklebet
Sevillana makes her debut for local manager Symon Wilde and could start her career on the right foot.
Rich Enuff’s four-year-old daughter has looked solid at work and we expect her current chances will diminish on race day.
Barrier two is ideal and represents value.
Race 2. (15:05) South West Equine Vet Maiden (1300m)
#10 – Queen Air @ $2.10 – Bet @ Picklebet
Queen Air ranks third behind She’s Extreme, the Group 1 form.
The three-year-old filly comes from an Oaks placement and although she falls behind at 1300m she is good enough to win.
Her class might be good enough to see that she comes out on top.
Race 3. (15:40) Allansford Hotel Maiden (1400m)
#5 – Lion City @ $2.25 – Bet @ Picklebet
Lion City started as favorites for Hamilton’s last start and finished well to finish second behind Sabar.
Klimt’s four-year-old son has won good betting support again and he should appreciate having that run under his belt.
We expect his odds to solidify to around $2 on race day.
Race 4. (16:15) Coastal Wholesalers Maiden (1700m)
#9 – Hibernia Queen @ $8.50 – Bet @ Picklebet
Hibernia Queen have threatened victory after consecutive third places and there is nothing wrong with that form.
Cable Bay’s three-year-old filly finished well in the last start at Mornington and we don’t know why her chances are so generous.
We like to grab the each-way odds before they shrink.
Race 5. (16:50) Sungold Milk BM64 (1700m)
#2 – Heart and Mind @ $5 – Bet @ Picklebet
Hearts and Minds is another runner to have had consecutive third places, and he has two wins and four finishes in total.
The four year old is third in Pakenham and would love some moisture in the soil so conditions should be right.
He’s unbeaten in tricky conditions so pay attention to the prediction.
Race 6th (17:25) Tab BM58 (2407m)
#4 – Bleed at $4.20 – Bet on Picklebet
Venting turned around his form when he placed at Warrnambool in the last start and he still has a lot of improvement ahead of him.
Trained by Andrew Bobbin, the gelding has two wins and two places in 14 starts, so he’s been on the right track throughout his career.
The inner train gives him every chance in the run.
Race 7. (18:00) Fabriweld Constructions BM64 (1000m)
#5 – Mrs. Chrissie @ $2 – Bet @ Picklebet
Ms Chrissie is stuck with bookies and it’s not hard to see why the money has come for the Maher/Eustace-trained runner.
The four-year-old mare won her debut at Cranbourne before running behind the likes of Ojosan and Throntari at Caulfield.
The midweek move is ideal and she should win easily.
Race 8. (18:30) Phinc C1 Handicap (1200m)
#1 – Sabar @ $2.60 – Bet @ Picklebet
Sabar was too good for them as they won the last start in Hamilton when they beat Lion City by 2.8 lengths and that form could be franked.
Trained by Lindsay Smith, the Almanzor son will be improving in classes and while carrying 60kg is not ideal he has class on his side.
Look for money that comes late for him in the betting markets.
