John Cena Recalls How a Bus Driver Gave Him the Chills of Being in a Fast and Furious Film Even Before He Signed Up for the Billion Dollar Franchise

WWE superstars spend most weeks on the road. Several stars rent a car or take flights, while a few have their own personal tour buses or jets. Recently, John Cena shared how he once rented a tour bus and further remembered his late driver. Moreover, he recalled an incident when the 45-year-old felt the chills of a Fast and Furious film even before joining the billionaire franchise.

While chatting with his Ricky Stanicky co-star, the WWE legend remembered his driver at the time, Ronnie Bullington. Furthermore, the Champ expressed how Bullington once drove his bus through a blizzard in New York.

The Franchise Player appeared on the Whiskey Ginger podcast hosted by Ricky Stanicky co-star Andrew Santino. He recalled how his late bus driver, Ronnie Bullington, once drove from Madison Square Garden to Albany, New York in 10 hours in snowy weather.

Cena said, “So many artists didn’t make the show. I remember Ronnie flipping the bus sideways like in Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. I mean like hold on and he’ll flip a 48ft tour bus sideways across the streets of New York. All we had to do was move forward because if we stop (it’s over).”

He added: “We saw buses on the side, the New York buses that couldn’t make it but could get us to Albany in ten and a half hours. He got us to Albany in ten and a half hours got Albany, he pulled in and moved the bus out, dropped the anchor, and was like, ‘I’m going to sleep, you guys. I made it we’re good.'”

Remembering Bullington, Cena called Bullington, the mentor of all managers. WWE had a show in MSG on a Sunday and had RAW at Albany the next night. Unfortunately, very few people turned up at the event as it was snowing heavily.

Nevertheless, Bullington was ready to ride in that “waist height” and say, “Man, I’m going for it, we’ve got to get to Albany and we’ve got to do it.”

Cena remembers how Ronnie Bullington designed the bus

The Cenation leader also shared how he gave the freedom to his “ship captain” to design the bus. Cena just wanted Bullington to get comfortable on the bus and drive him safely from town to town. Now, Cena is a regular in Hollywood than WWE. However, he will face Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 for the United States Championship. Additionally, Cena slapped Theory on his RAW return earlier this month.
